l have been traveling my entire life ... throughout the United States and Canada when I was really young, and then throughout Europe after college. That was in the 90s, so I've been doing this for a while.
I'm good at going carry-on only and finding deals on hotels and plane tickets, but I have also splurged on a few trips my younger self would have raised an eyebrow toward. I live modestly when I'm home, so it all works out.

If you've noticed a few foreign words on this page, it's because I'm half Finnish and like to dabble in that tricky language. The other half of me is Norwegian, so when I'm not toasting with "kippis," I may be doing it with "skål."

Prior to my days as an occasional vagabond who likes to video and photograph travels, I worked in media and then financial services. I enjoyed my time in both industries, especially when newspapers were the way to get world news (that's the 90s talking again). Now, I really enjoy seeing new places, meeting new people, and trying amazing ales (Hi, Belgium!)

I don't have an FAQ page (perhaps I will at some point), so let me list some favorite places here. If you haven't visited these locations yet, please go:
North America: Montreal QC | Sault Ste. Marie ON
New York NY | Los Angeles CA | Santa Barbara CA
Asheville NC | Louisville KY | Savannah GA | St. Augustine FL
Europe: Chester GB | Cordoba ES | Trieste IT | Venice IT
Sarlat FR | Monemvasia GR | Berlin DE | Trier DE
Helsinki FI | Trondheim NO
I'll add more as I revisit this post. Anyway, thanks for visiting, and please check out my YouTube channel.
